Thesis Statement:
The California gold rush of 1848-1855 was a huge point of setting a foundation for California's success. Because of the rush, California quickly became a commercial hub. Socially, it brought in many cultures around the world. As much as 300,000 immigrants came to California to seek for gold, it brought people from around the world like the Chinese, Mexicans, Americans, Russians, Europeans, and Natives.
